（吉隆坡14日讯）国家能源（Tenaga Nasional Bhd）指出，子公司已获得能源委员会的批准，翻新产能为650.75兆瓦的霹雳河水力发电站。

国能向大马交易所报备，该项目被称为水电延长使用计划，涉及6座发电站的18个发电机组，翻新工程将从2024年开始。

根据新的40年购电协议，第一个发电机组预计将在2025年投入商业营运。

“该项目将保持国能在大马水电领域的主导地位，累计水力发电量为2661兆瓦。”

但该集团没有提及该项目所需的投资金额。

尽管如此，国能表示，该项目料将增加收益。

该股今日下滑4仙或0.5%，以8.03令吉挂收，市值达462亿令吉。

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 14): Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s unit has obtained approval from the Energy Commission to refurbish Sungai Perak hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of 650.75MW.

TNB said the project, dubbed Hydro Life Extension Programme, involves six power stations comprising 18 units, with refurbishment works commencing in 2024.

The first unit is expected to be in commercial operation in 2025 under the new 40-year power purchase agreement, said the utility giant in a stock exchange filing on Friday (Oct 14).

“The project will retain the dominant presence of TNB in Malaysia’s hydropower sector, with a cumulative generating hydro capacity of 2,661MW,” the group said, but did not mention the amount of investment required in this project.

Nonetheless, TNB said the project is expected to be earnings accretive.

Shares of TNB closed four sen or 0.5% lower at RM8.03 per share on Friday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM46.2 billion.
